How I got my GLOW back…

As most of you know I’ve been doing my best to get my skin under control lately. I know that it all starts with a great skincare routine. Right now I’ll be sharing with you how I’ve enhanced my features while keeping the glow.

As far as my skincare routine goes, I’ll be sharing with you my Tatcha facial experience so you can get a better idea of what I am doing and how well it’s been working. That post should be complete by Wednesday, so keep your eyes open.

What I can tell you is that after a week of exfoliation and moisture this is the result. I do have make up on by you an see how beautiful and radiant my skin has become.

I really am a firm believer in glowing skin. Even when I worked at M.A.C. my favorite part was using strobe cream under Hyper real and giving everyone the J. Lo glow. Seriously, there is something beautiful about the skin kissed, glowing from within look and I think this picture is emulates that exact idea.

Here is the breakdown of what I used and why I’m in love…

  • Moisturize : Tatcha Supple Cream
    • Instantly glides on your skin, feels like silk on your face, and best part it’s not too heavy that it can’t be worn under your make up. I’ve been using this every morning and night on my skin.
  • Foundation: PUR Minerals 4 in 1 Liquid Veil Spray Foundation
    • This light formula provides you with medium build-able coverage, great part is that it oxidizes as it’s sprayed so you don’t have to worry about your foundation changing color throughout the day.
  • Concealer: L.A. Girl Cosmetics HD Concealer
    • Too many things to love about this concealer, it goes on smooth, super pigmented, doesn’t look chalky in pictures, and is blend-able – THIS IS A MUST HAVE ITEM, especially for only $5.49 on Amazon!
  • Contour: Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit
    • I’ve been in love with with palette since it released, it’s so pigmented and the colors are perfect. It’s also great that you can replace the pans as needed instead of having to buy a whole new kit.
    • Another thing that I found is that you can use the pink color to help conceal any of your freckles. Just dab the pink on top of your freckles and then cover it with your concealer – don’t forget to blend after.
  • Contour Set: Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit
    • Yes, I set my cream colors with powder. It sounds like a lot but when you are out for 15 hours and your want your make up to stay put all day… you just have to
    • These pans are also replaceable, when you run out you can reorder them online from their website.
  • Highlight: Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Powder -Champagne Pop
    • BUY THIS ASAP… it’s a limited edition collaboration and only available at Sephora
      • Insider tip: it’s sold out in stores, your best bet is to order it online and have it shipped to you as soon as it is available.
  • Ready, SET, Go: Tatcha Luminous Dewy Mist
    • Instantly get your makeup set and ready to go. This leaves your skin feeling hydrated and takes away that dry powdery feeling.

I blend all of my cream products with a damp Beauty Blender… don’t look at the price and say, “WTH, I’m not spending $20 on a sponge!”. This is not just a sponge, this is seriously a tool that a brush cannot replace. Plus you’d need 3 brushes to do the same thing that this little guy will do – it’s a great investment. Take my word for it! If you want to get a deal buy it from Nordstrom its 2 for $40 with a cleanser!

Sharing my process with you on the blog is just the beginning, in the future I’m hoping to do some videos or even one on one demonstrations with you.

If you haven’t started following me on Instagram… you should! I’ve been posting tons of pictures showing my Make Up of The Day. I will follow up with a recap of the products I used on the blog, at least that’s the goal so far.

Thanks for being here, your kind words and encouragement are moving mountains for me!
