The undercut aka my favorite haircut as of late

I think I’ve told you guys about my overly thick hair in the past. It was so thick and heavy that I could only wear it in a pony tail for a few hours at a time and had to use 3 rubber bands to secure it. After a really long day at work I went to get a root touch up and my stylist showed me her undercut. At first I thought, “ok that’s cute but not for me” but as I sat there under the dryer I figured “it’s just hair, it will grow back, let’s do it”. Well, I haven’t regretted the decision since. The only thing I am worried about is IF I ever decided to grow it out I’d have to go through that ugly growing my hair out phase. The good news is that I don’t think I’ll want to grow it back for a while. In fact, I just recently took the cut higher.

I will warn you, if you have traditional parents this haircut will cause them to give you a lot of grief. My dad and my mom HATE this haircut with a passion. They still can’t wrap their heads around why  I’d want to cut my hair like this or why I like this hair cut so much.

It may not be for everyone but I love it for me. My hair doesn’t take as long to dry and best of all I can wear my hair up for 8 hours or more every day.

As you can tell from the two pictures below you can’t really tell that I shaved half my head which I really like. It kinda like a professional mullet lol!

Before my Undercut on the Left and after on the Right

Couldn’t believe I was about to really do it!

And finally a little inspiration =)

What do you guys think? Would you give it a try or is this not the haircut for you?
